May-12-04 - Estate May 2004

The spring has seen a flurry of activity following the completion of our annual repair and redecoration works. The largest project has been Coed Talwrn a detached stone cottage (see picture). Our building team did an excellent job in revealing and preserving an old bread oven in a previously hidden inglnook fire place. The new tenants now have an old cottage with real character - and the modern benefits!

We have also been working hard to establish an estate charcoal business utilising the hitherto un-economic poor quality timber on the estate. Next month I hope to report positive progress.
