Residential Following the letting of Trewyn Farmhouse, all of our properties are now occupied and rents remain strong. It would appear that Corwen is now becoming a town considered to be an easy commuting distance of Wrexham and Chester. This relative proximity provides the backbone to the Estates rental incomes.
All of the maintenance work has now been completed with the exception of painting, and with the run of good weather we have had this month painting will not be too long in completion.
A local firm of contractors are now completing a tarmacing programme to further enhance the standard of the properties.
Commercial The former Creamery site is now seeing increasing levels of activity following recent meetings with our commercial consultants. We are now starting to look for leisure, retail and business tenants for this site, for late 2007 early 2008. The site will be fully cleared and re-developed. The reason for the long time frame is the construction of a new extension to the A5 and bridge over the River Alwen. The Creamery site will be used as the works area for the construction of this road.
Woodland Following a very wet May, John Hall our chosen forestry contractor for Coed Cadnor has been delayed in coming on site. Commencement of the felling in early June will mean that there will be decreased damage to the ground, and may also allow nesting birds more time in the wood before felling.
