Well, with Easter now behind us it’s safe to say we were disappointed. The unusual mix of poor weather, an early Easter and fragmented school breaks meant slower than normal Easter sales, there are however as always reasons to be optimistic with lots of exciting developments either in the pipeline or already in progress.
Our new shop will hopefully start to have its foundations laid soon with the plan to be trading out of it by the end of the year, it will have a much more comprehensive offer ranging from a deli to a bistro, many local and organic products, and a children’s play area.
In the here and now we have introduced a new improved range of locally made pies which have gone down a storm, a selection of olives, specialty teas and breads, and a significantly bigger range of local cakes. We had some fantastic offers on our butchery over Easter, beef roasting joints, legs of lamb and pork joints all with big savings, this is something we will continue to do over the coming months to ensure our customers always have great reasons to buy from us.
We are all looking forward to the coming year as it signals a big change for us with our new shop now visible on the horizon, and we hope to continue to serve you all over the coming year.
