Talk about ‘hitting the ground running’ when you start a new job. Cheryl South joined the online and wholesale sales team at Rhug Estate near Corwen, Denbighshire, in March, just days before Covid19 meant the country was in lockdown and online sales of Rhug organic meat went through the roof!
Cheryl, Rhug Estate’s new Retail & Online Sales Assistant, is from Betws y Coed originally and now lives in Penmachno. Before joining the sales team at Rhug she worked in the retail and customer service sector, which took her around the UK and abroad including Dubai and Europe.

Her previous experience means she is a huge asset to our team. Within weeks of her starting, the business has been turned on its head and is now almost wholly reliant on online and wholesale sales of our organic meat. The sales team have gone above and beyond the call of duty since the lockdown working hard to fulfil our customers’ orders.”

In her spare time Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She makes the most of the beautiful north Wales countryside by walking, running and cycling.
