Rhug Estate has made a generous donation of food to Canolfan Ni Corwen, south Denbighshire’s Community Partnership.

Easter chocolates, tins of soup, cereals, other pantry items and organic free range eggs were amongst the items donated to help towards supporting those who need a little bit of help at the moment. The items will be used to help create community food gift hampers as well as the local foodbank.

Lord Newborough said, “We appreciate these are difficult times for a lot of people locally. Following my recent donation of food to Hope House Hospice I am pleased that we found another good cause to donate food to locally. I believe something positive has come out of our local business having to temporarily slow down.”

Rhug Estate is also helping those who are following government orders to stay at home by continuing its online shop and home delivery service. As well as the farm’s award winning range of organic meat, online customers can also order farm shop essentials on the website: www.rhug.co.uk/shop.

Lord Newborough added, “I would like to thank all our customers for their kind words and support. We appreciate their loyalty. We are also grateful to visitors in our Farm Shop for adhering to the four customers at a time policy and socially distancing themselves from the other shoppers to keep everyone safe. We are looking forward to everything going back to normal and welcoming visitors back to our Bistro and Takeaway. Please take care everyone.”

Rhug Estate Farm Shop is open for locals to buy their essentials from 9.30am until 4pm on weekdays and 9.30am until midday on Saturdays. The Drive Thru is open for those on essential journeys during the week. However the bistro and takeaway remain closed until further notice.
