We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Wild Beauty skincare collection. The collection uses the highest quality natural, organic, hand-picked and wild foraged ingredients from around the Estate in Denbighshire, north Wales.

Wild Beauty is a highly certified and luxurious face and body collection, hand made in the UK with integrity and care for the environment, using recyclable materials. It is available to purchase directly from: www.rhugwildbeauty.com

The Wild Beauty Skincare collection includes purifying cleansing lotion with dandelion; nourishing eye cream with elderflower; protecting day cream with blue tansy oil and active treatment serum with hyaluronic acid, to name just a few.

Lord Newborough, owner of Rhug Estate and founder of Wild Beauty said, “Launching into beauty now seems a hard choice but I felt that everyone these days wants to know more about where their products come from, what goes into them and what the environmental impact might be. The Wild Beauty collection has a wonderful and unique story behind it because of all the beneficial ingredients we have found on the estate to use in it. These are hand-picked or harvested on the estate and chosen carefully for their beneficial attributes. We have tried to embrace everything that is sustainable and natural using glass bottles and recycled cardboard for packaging.”

Lord Newborough continued, “I wanted the skincare products to embrace everything the Rhug brand already stands for – organic, healthy and natural. In this beautiful part of the north Wales countryside where we are blessed with fresh air, beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers and stunning coastline, it was my aim to create a skincare range which captures and reflects the essence of this area.”

Over 100 ingredients have been carefully selected and formulated to provide maximum benefits to the skin. The collection harnesses natural, wild foraged and organic ingredients from around Rhug Estate including elderflowers, meadowsweet, primrose, dandelions, yarrow, spring water, gorse, herb robert, hawthorn, heather, nettles, spring water, Rhug honey and beeswax.

Rhug Estate’s Head Forager, Richard Prideaux, and his team, wild forage for ingredients on the Estate, waiting for particular plants to flower and mature. They wait for the optimum time to pick each different part of the plant. Some plants, such as gorse, can be labour intensive to pick, taking hours to collect the right part of the plant.

In keeping with Rhug Estate’s sustainable packaging policy all Wild Beauty products are bottled and packaged in recyclable materials. The majority of the products are produced in glass jars or bottles. Where plastic bottles have been used for select body products, these are made entirely (100%) from Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic. This is an environmentally friendly alternative that recycles plastic waste that would otherwise find its way into landfill. The mail order delivery box is made from 100% recycled cardboard and printed with 100% vegetable inks.

Rhug Farm shop, near Llangollen, in north Wales, already carries a stock of health and beauty products and is also now stocking the new Wild Beauty products.
