Rhug Estate near Corwen, Denbighshire, is delighted that David Hughes, from Flintshire, has recently joined the team as the new Head of Finance.
David, a qualified accountant, whose family farm in Flintshire, joined Rhug Estate last month. With 25 years of experience in managing finances he previously worked in the fashion industry in Manchester.
Lord Newborough, Owner of Rhug Estate said, “I am delighted to welcome David to the team at Rhug. David has hit the ground running. His previous experience and family farming background means he will be a huge asset to the team.”
David grew up on a traditional beef and sheep farm near Flint in Flintshire and still helps with the family business during his spare time. After qualifying as an Accountant, David worked in the fashion industry for over 25 years for well known luxury clothing brands.
David said, “I’m delighted to be working with Lord Newborough and the team at Rhug. The Rhug Estate is such a diverse business and yet at its core is organic farming. I’m looking forward to using my accountancy and farming experience to help all aspects of the business thrive financially in the future.”
