Rhug Estate Farm Shop is now stocking a wide selection of Treflach Farm pies – as featured in the TV series ‘Born Mucky: Life on the Farm’ – which follows three young farmers trying to run their family farms.

The series, currently showing on Quest TV, follows Ian Steele and Trelfach Farm, Oswestry, a small family working farm, which has diversified into producing a selection of meat-filled and vegetarian pies aswell as quiches and sausage rolls.

Treflach Farm is a free-range farm that shares Rhug Estate’s vision of sustainable farming. Ian Steele said, “Our passion and commitment is to agriculture as a sustainable industry, rooted in the community, working in harmony with nature and providing for the needs of local people. Our aim is for Treflach Farm to be at the centre of many communities associated with people, animal welfare in food production, sustainability and care for the environment.”

Rhug Farm Shop now stocks a wide variety of the savoury products that Treflach Farm produces. This includes small and large Game pies and Hunt’s mans’ pies which are made especially for Rhug Estate; pork pies with a selection of toppings; a variety of quiches and sausage rolls. Available from the Deli Counter, the Farm Shop also stocks a selection of Treflach Farm’s vegetarian quiches and pasties.

Rhug Estate Ltd Managing Director, Graham Webster, is delighted to be working with Treflach Farm and to stock their products in the Farm Shop. Graham said, “We are so lucky to have such amazing food producers on our doorstep here in north Wales. We’re pleased with the quality of the products that Treflach supply.
