Rhug Estate is used to feeding hungry
passers-by but this Saturday, 18 August, the Bistro will have special visitors
who, after providing them with a pit stop and some energy boosting cake and coffee, will be told to get ‘on yer bike’!
Staff from JFCAgri in Oswestry are undertaking
the mammoth T2O bike ride on 18 August from the company’s headquarters in Tuam
in County Galway in Ireland back to their office in Oswestry to raise vital funds
for RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute) and RDA (Riding for the Disabled).
Staff members from JFC accompanied by farmers
will be cycling a total of 200 miles. JFC Agri UK’s National Sales Manager, Sue
Taylor, and JFC Civils Ireland’s, David Curley, are heading up the ride
accompanied by friends and local farmers.
Graham Webster, General Manager of Rhug Ltd, said, “When JFCAgri approached us to provide a feed station for their charity bike ride we were pleased to be able to help. We wish all the riders luck with their journey and hope our Flapjack cakes and coffee give them the energy they need to do the last stage back to Oswestry."
