Rhug Salt Marsh Organic Lamb comes from our coastal farm near Caernarfon. The lambs graze on special grasses and herbs such as sea lavender, samphire, sorrel, thrift and other saltmarsh grasses which contributes to the meat's distinct flavour that is sought after by top chefs throughout the world.
The organic welsh lamb shoulder, is a great alternative to the more popular lamb leg. This cut it left on the bone by our in-house Master Butchers.
This delicious roasting joint has also recently been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the fresh meat section of the Great British Food Awards 2018. Judged by celebrity chef Glynn Purnell, he described Rhug Organic Salt Marsh Lamb Shoulder as “Nice and lean with a golden, crispy skin and good caramelisation. It fell off the bone.”
