Rosie's Black Bart Cider

  • 30003095

This cider has a subtle oak flavour and has been sweetened with sugar. Why Black Bart? Well, the cider barn has a date stone 1829 and is attributed to Sir Watkins Williams Wynne Bart. Some of the apple varieties in Black Bart are ‘Kingston Blacks’ - a vintage cider apple. The cider is part matured in barrels and then the brewers spotted Black Bart (aka Bartholomew Roberts or 'Barti Ddu' in Welsh) in a book about pirates. He spent a great deal of the early 1720’s plundering shipping around Barbados - the cider had to be called Black Bart!
