Here’s what your little ones can expect:
- Meet adorable animals: Get up close and cuddly with a variety of furry friends brought to you by Animal Encounters Wales.
- Interactive learning: Not just cuddles, this workshop will teach children about the proper care, food, and habitat of these animals.
- Feed and groom: They’ll even have the chance to feed and groom some of the animals, including our cheeky miniature Shetland ponies, Nanw and Maia!
- Unique encounters: Have they ever seen a chinchilla take a dust bath, or met a Tenrec? This workshop offers a chance to learn about fascinating and unusual creatures.
- Building healthy habits: The fun doesn’t stop at the animals. Kids will also get to build their own healthy fruit snack to take home!
This 1-hour workshop is perfect for children of all ages and includes:
- Meet and greet with Nanw and Maia, the miniature Shetland ponies.
- Interactive feeding and handling of various animals with the Animal Encounters Team.
- Educational session on animal care and well-being.
- Fun fruit snack-making activity.
Spaces are limited, so pre-booking is essential! We offer two sessions at 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM. Tickets are only £8 per child.

Our partner, Animal Encounters Wales, is dedicated to providing educational sessions for all ages and abilities. Their aim is to foster a love for animals through interactive learning experiences, whether it’s a story time session, therapeutic encounter, or hands-on workshop. Owner Jo, with over 23 years of experience working with young people, designs engaging programs that cater to diverse learning needs. Animal Encounters Wales prioritises animal welfare and aims to educate participants about animal care and conservation.
