Visitors from the north by Keith Offord

As the nights get longer and the weather gets colder it is unsurprising that a sense of gloom can affect us – more so this year than any. Having said goodbye to the warm days of summer and the associated migrant birds which are now in Africa, there is a compensatory arrival from the north as we play host in the UK to many species which have come to enjoy a feast of berries along with a less severe climate than would be the case on the Continent or Scandinavia for example.

Rhug joins forces with Welsh food & drink producers to create unique range of Festive Boxes & Hampers

Rhug Estate has joined forces with a wide range of Welsh food and drink producers, in the run up to Christmas, to create a unique range of gift boxes and hampers for festive shoppers to enjoy.

It is the first time these exciting product combinations have been brought together as part of the Welsh Government funded initiative to encourage shoppers to #SupportLocalSupportWales.

Celebrating 20 years of farming organically at Rhug

Rhug Estate is celebrating its 20th anniversary of farming organically this month. Lord Newborough and his team successfully transformed the farm from being a low input / low output traditional beef and sheep farm in 2000, to the successful, organic, farming business it is today.
