We were delighted to welcome Rupert Thomas, Chief Commercial Officer, and Liz Morgan, Head of Food, Wines and Spirits, from Fortnum & Mason to the Rhug Estate this week!
Their visit included a comprehensive tour by Lord Newborough of our beautiful estate, providing them with a firsthand look at our commitment to sustainable practices and high-quality products.
- Farm Shop & Buying Ethos: Rupert and Liz explored our farm shop with Managing Director, Amy Coleman, learning about the extensive range of local produce we stock and our dedication to ethical sourcing.
- Cutting Plant & Farm Tour: They gained valuable insights into our operations with a tour of our cutting-plant facility and our working farm with Farm Manager Emyr Owen, where they even had the opportunity to see our majestic deer herd.
- Marketing & Sustainability: Emily Johnson, Senior Marketing Manager, discussed our marketing strategy and Mared Williams, Low Carbon Project Officer, and Rhys Davies, Estate and General Manager, detailed our ongoing application to become a B Corp, reflecting our commitment to social and environmental responsibility. They were also impressed by the progress we’ve made in implementing sustainable practices throughout the estate.
This visit was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Rhug Estate difference and forge even closer relationships within the food industry. We look forward to continuing this positive dialogue and exploring potential collaborations in the future!
