Matt’s culinary journey began with a hands-on approach, washing dishes and working his way up through various kitchens across the UK. Over the past eleven years, he has honed his skills in diverse settings – from high-end establishments focused on organic produce to vibrant open kitchens specialising in, but not limited to, Middle Eastern cuisine. This remarkable journey has equipped him with a deep understanding of different culinary styles and techniques.
Now, Matt joins the Rhug Estate family as Head Chef, and we’re delighted to have him on board. He’s particularly drawn to our dedication to fresh, organic ingredients, which perfectly aligns with his own culinary philosophy. Matt is also impressed by our commitment to sustainability and zero-waste practices, values he wholeheartedly shares.
