Rhug Estate Celebrates 2025 Great Taste Award Wins for Organic Steak, Tea and Mead
Rhug Estate is proud to have received three more Great Taste Awards this year, adding to our growing list of recognised products. The 2025 awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, saw stars awarded to the 35 Day Aged Organic Welsh Rib Eye Steak, Rhug Estate Organic Earl Grey Tea, and Rhug Estate Welsh Cherry Mead.
The Great Taste Awards are widely regarded as the benchmark for fine food and drink, with products judged on flavour, quality, and craftsmanship by chefs, critics, buyers, and food writers from across the UK.
“We’re incredibly proud to see these products recognised — these awards are a real credit to the dedication of our team and the passion we put into everything we do at Rhug,” said Derek Orford, General Manager of the Rhug Estate Farm Shop.
Our 35 Day Aged Organic Welsh Rib Eye Steak was described as “tender, juicy, with a lovely golden crust on the outside and a full beef flavour… all the hallmarks of a quality steak.” Meanwhile, the Organic Earl Grey Tea stood out for its bold citrus profile, amber infusion, and distinctive bergamot aroma – a striking and characterful blend that left a lasting impression on the judges.
These latest accolades join a growing number of Rhug Estate favourites that have been awarded Great Taste stars in previous years, including our Organic Chicken Breast, French Trimmed Rack of Lamb and Organic Comb in Honey.
All of our award-winning food and drink can be found in the Rhug Estate Farm Shop near Corwen or purchased online.
